Virginize A 1.02 iPhone
The method described below will enable you to virginize an iPhone with 1.02 firmware thus allowing you to upgrade to 1.1.1 firmware. This virginizer is to be used only by iPhones that were unlocked using the Anysim 1.0 - 1.2 or iUnlock method. Do not use this if you’ve used the iPhonesimfree method. Use at your own risk.
- Open Installer and update to the latest version.
- Restart Installer and go to the “Sources” tab at the bottom and press “Edit” and then “Add”. Type in “http://markmon.mine.nu:90/iphone/repo.plist” and press “Ok”.
- Return to Installer and refresh sources. Go to the “Install” tab at the bottom and view “All Packages. Install BSD Subsytem, Term-VT100 and Virginize scripts.
- Now exit installer and open up the Term VT100 on your phone. Type these two commands into the terminal:
cd /usr/bin
virginize - When the virginize script runs, you should not see any sort of (16) resource busy errors. If you do, stop the script, unload commcenter by running this:
launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
then restart the script. - Once done you can now upgrade to firmware 1.1.1 and follow this method to jailbreak and unlock your 1.1.1 iPhone.
