Mobile Notes iPhone Skin

Start the new year off right with these skins for the Notes iPhone application and change that drab yellow Notes color. The colors available are red, blue and green by absolutechrys from MMI. Upload your desired skin color into the Applications/Mobilenotes.app folder of your iPhone via sftp. Now if only getting into the gym like you promise to every year was this easy!

Videos have been posted up on Touch Mods showing their SIP-VoIP application for the iPod Touch. The supported firmwares for the iPod touch are 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 with support for iPhones to be announced. A countdown for the SIP-VoIP application is on the Touch Mods site and currently shows less than a day before release. Add: http://touchmods.net/rep.xml as a source in Installer to keep up to date on releases. Free phone calls over wifi anyone?

iTrac Or Why Native Applications Aren’t Necessarily Better

iTrac is a native iPhone application that allows you to track your UPS, FedEx and USPS packages from your iPhone. I’m a big fan of native applications as opposed to web applications but in this instance I don’t see any clear benefit. Packages I wish to track usually ship along with an e-mail notifying me of the shipping status and tracking number. I then only need to check my e-mail via iPhone, click on the link of my tracking number and the current shipping status is displayed. With iTrac, not only do I need to input my tracking number manually which happens to always be excruciatingly long but it doesn’t display the full status of my package. By looking at the package status on iTrac, I would just simply assume that my package still hasn’t shipped yet

but looking at the screenshot of the package status I got from tracking via the tracking number e-mailed to me, It clearly shows that my package is actually near the final destination. (Edited by me for privacy)

If you want to give this application a spin, it must be installed in conjunction with Jiggy Runtime, both available on Installer.
