Video Capture On The iPhone

Developer drunknbass from Monsterandfriends has posted a beta video capture application for the iPhone which at this point in time is limited to 5 seconds of video at 10 frames per second. The developer states that he’s been able to achieve 10 seconds of video recording at the maximum 2 megapixel resolution of the iPhone’s camera but is confident of being able to achieve at least one minute of video with a higher fps at normal .mov resolution. I can confirm thru brief tests of this application that it does indeed work as advertised with seemingly smooth video even at 10 frames per second. There is no UI to this application so video recording immediately starts once the application is started from the home screen with playback also immediately starting after the counter on the lower right hand side reaches 4.9 seconds.
