ShopList iPhone Application

Fsaint has posted up a native iPhone shopping list application at modmyifone. The application is bare bones but provides a nice and simple way to check off items on the list by toggling the “have” and “need” buttons. This could invariably come in handy for items you consistently buy. Download here for manual install or wait for it to show up on Installer add http://mazinger.cs.yale.edu/iphone-apps/index.xml as a source in Installer and look under productivity.

awesome. I’ve been waiting for a shopping list app. I had been using mobiletodo list as my shopping list.

I like it… but the Need / Have thing is crazy confusing.

What ever happened to the good ol Check Box for “nabbed” items?

Do You know the program HandyShopper for Palm devices? Is it possible to enhance ShopList like HandyShopper?

I really like the app. My wishlist for this app would be to group shopping list items into categories, so users could do Meat, Vegetables, Fruits…etc. Also, it would be nice if the app installed with pre-loaded lists of common items. Users could always modify/remove/add items.

really cool but a great feature would be to be able to share a list with someone else (say, your wife that consistently forgets your GQ when it’s her turn to do the shopping). Just use your iPhone or a website you can log into and add it to the list.

Does it need the Jiggy runtime or doesn’t?
One more question .. is it working on 1.1.4?

Thanks for the mini-review.

Wicked app, I was using Mobile Todo List, which was much more tedious to enter. I like the ease of this app. One feature I like from onetrip.com is the use of drop down lists of commonly purchased item and you can add to the list. FEATURE Request!

Good work

Got inspired by this and made my own version with javascript that works on my Pocket PC.

You can download it here:

Can you add aisle numbers so we can sort by either name or aisle. Aisle sorting is great for when you are in the store buying. You get all your aisle #1 stuff, then all your aisle #2a stuff, then aisle #2b stuff, etc… This is part of what made HandyShopper (#1 shopping app for WindowsCE, PocketPC, and Palm based phones. Thanks, Jim
