Neo Tech System Font
I’ve received quite a few requests on how I was able change my system font to Neo Tech on my iPhone. It’s all done by replacing the standard Helvetica.ttf and HelveticaBold.ttf font in the iPhone with a specially modified Neo Tech font. Please note that it’s not simply a matter of renaming the Neo Tech font or any font you might be thinking of trying to Helvetica. The use of Kate or Font Swap isn’t needed as this is just replacing the Helvetica fonts. Make a Back-up of your Helvetica fonts before replacing with the new ones. Upload the extracted fonts into: System/Library/Fonts/Cache replacing the Helvetica.ttf and HelveticaBold.ttf fonts with the newer ones. Download link below.

I love the font… but…. it screws up some display in a few program… such as parking lot, all the small text becomes squares… Puzzle Maniak, all the letters/numbers in the games becomes squares also… perhaps the fonts are missing some characters…??
I tried Intelliscreen and just had more problems with it, I like the theme you are using but i think it is pay now and I don’t “need” it. problem I had was I use my phone as a mp3 player alot and couldn’t hit the pause play button cause it was covered by something. Still pretty cool like that theme alot.

Is it complicated to make a font compatible for the iPhone? I’ve been thinking of using Myriad. (It worked on the old iPods fine! :D) Is there a guide anywhere on what to do?

the links you provide to download various themes and such from weiphone.come don’t work. they either display an error, or the download never happens/completes. could you not just provide a box-download like the one for this one?

Kameron… I realize the new font is “Specially modified” to work on the iPhone.. what was done specifically? I would like to add a font and replace Helvetica, but I want to use something different like Technical.tff Thanks!!!
Does anyone know of more frequently updated website featuring this kind of iPhone content? New apps, skins, etc? I’ve been searching since kameron has updated this blog no more than three or four times in three months but so far I haven’t found a good source.
