weDict iPhone Dictionary
weDict is a native iPhone dictionary available on Installer. The most recent version is at o.6.1 using http://app.weiphone.com/installer/ as the Installer source. This new version supports user selectable dictionaries to limit your results by pressing the “i” button in the top right hand corner. Various dictionaries are available from Installer or at the StarDict website. Manually downloaded dictionaries need to be extracted. Then rename the following *.dict.dz to *.dict.gz. Then extract again and upload via sftp the resulting *.dict and *.idx files to /private/var/root/Library/weDict folder on your iPhone. Limited speech pronunciation also works but with a hefty 200mb file size. Sound files can be downloaded here and uploaded via sftp also to the /private/var/root/Library/weDict folder on your iPhone. The weDict skin can be downloaded below, extract, and upload the images to your Applications/weDict folder.

Mobilestack For iPhone Now With Grid View
A new version of Mobilestack has been released for the iPhone incorporating grid view when you have more than five items in your stack. I incorporated Mobilestack with OpenUrl for a nice quick way to access my favorite contacts with a push of a button.

Leopard Stack on iPhone
A version of Stacks has shown up on the iPhone mimicking the new feature on Apple’s Leopard operating system. I’ve modded mine to show one button speed dialing to five of my favorite contacts. Screenshots of my stacks below. From The Developer’s Site:Stack for Mobile OS X aims to bring the power of Stacks to the Mobile OS X Dock, or Button Bar.A stack is basically a group of applications that fans out when you touch it, allowing you to choose to launch any of the contained items. Think of it as an application launcher that allows you to keep your Home Screen neat and tidy. As someone who likes the clean look of the default iPod touch home screen, I was driven to develop Stack to allow me to have a way to launch separate applications.

Stacks On The iPhone and iPod Touch
Here’s a cool application that mimics the Leopard Stacks feature for your iPhone and iPod Touch. You’ll need to manually install this using your favorite sftp program as it’s currently not available on Installer. Download it thru Installer. More info here. Unfortunately the current programs are hard coded and there is no current way to choose which programs show up in your stack. I’m hoping the future versions will fix that.
